AlzChem Trostberg GmbH is an internationally active Specialty Chemical company with approx. 1,500 employees and a turnover of more than 350 million euros. The main focus of AlzChem is its so-called NCN-Chemistry which describes products with a Nitrogen-Carbon-Nitrogen basis. This Chem- istry is also the basis of the product group DYHARD®. 

Marketed under the trade name of DYHARD® are, inter alia, micronised Dicyandiamide based high performance cross- linking agents as well as imidazole based and urea based accelerators. Target markets are the adhesive, powder coat- ing and in particular the composite industry. In the latter application, the building of rotary blades for wind turbines, the automobile and sporting goods manufacture, as well as aviation construction and to a greater extend in CNG & hydrogen cylinders (H2 cylinders) is worth a special mention.

DYHARD® – everyday, everywhere

DYHARD® products play a central role in the safety and quality demands of the manufacture of such end-products, as they perfectly complement each other facilitating the formulation of one component epoxy hardener thermosetting systems. The lion’s share of powdered standard products has recently been complemented with the products of the DYHARD®-Fluid line. These liquid latent cross-linking agents make one compo- nent injection and infusion accessible as well as the entrance into the CNG and hydrogen cylinder market.
