Product innovation:

Pourable fibre pellets for extrusion

Natural and synthetic fibres with a length of 0.5 to 4 mm are used to reinforce thermoplastics. The longer the fibre, the higher the reinforcing effect and the mechanical strength. The disadvantage of fibre fillers is poor pourability/dosage.

By using pellets, however, this can be significantly improved, also with longer fibres. Furthermore, dust generation and electrostatic charging are reduced. There is great potential in biopolymers, which are optimised by natural fibres. The substitution of glass fibres is also possible.
