As a world market leader in the banknote industry in order to produce paper and watermarks, the screens of Siebfabrik are successfully used in the field of formation and emboss­ing. Based on this experience, it was obvious for the Swabian company to transfer this technological innovation to the nonwovens industry and, there, to the field of water­jet bonding. The ob­ject of the latest development is a perforated sheet cylinder as the basis, on which screen cloth and 3D embossing dies are applied galvanically, with the aim of simultaneously bond­ing and embossing nonwovens.
