DEKRA Automobil GmbH Labor für Technische Textilien und Folien

The DEKRA Laboratory for Technical Textiles and Films (formerly the Blum Laboratory) supports both manufacturers and planners with development and quality assurance as well as construction companies in the subsequent use of the products. In doing so, PTFE or silicone-coated glass fabrics, PVC- coated polyester fabrics (PES) and ETFE film are often used. As a recognized, independent testing laboratory, we offer you leading expertise and more than three decades of experience in the field of membrane structure. For a large number of spectacular lightweight construction projects worldwide, our expertise is also in demand on site, for the testing of manufacturing, production and assembly processes.

Product innovation:

Test devices

The laboratory develops its own measuring methods and equipment and carries out tests, for example two or multi-axis tests. The membrane tension-measuring device, which was developed by the Laboratory for Technical Textiles and Films, is unique. It serves to verify the existing prestress in membrane roofs and structures. It can be used to determine the stresses required for load transfer.
