We have been producing textile ribbons for more than 150 years. We transfer the expertise of our core business – the development and production of elastic and non-elastic ribbons – successfully to applications for technical textiles. As a fully integrated company, we have both the required technologies for manufacturing the raw materials and the expertise to process them into finished products. A network of specialists also enables us to implement special applications (ultrasonic technology, plastics injection molding onto textiles). Our woven or knitted ribbons consists, amongst others, of plastic, metal and glass fiber yarns. Examples of their areas of application include industry, medical technology and the sports and furniture industries.

Innovative ribbons for technical applications

One company in the medical technology field was looking for a replacement of a product that had previously been made of plastic. We successfully met this challenge. This article has now received registration from the American FDA and is delivered to the customer’s assembly plant on a weekly basis.
Furthermore, we also produce a semi-finished textile product for joining fiber composite and steel structures for shipbuilding applications (the “FAUSST” project). In doing so, glass and steel fibers are knitted together to form a strap. With creativity and a high level of innovation, we develop and produce a textile product based on your idea.
